Wartime Treatment Study Act
reintroduced on June 30, 2005
The Wartime Treatment Study Act was reintroduced on June 30 in both the
Senate (S. 1354) and House (HR 3198). Joining Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI) and
Charles Grassley (R-IA) in the Senate were Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA), Joe Lieberman (D-CT), Jon
Corzine (D-NJ) and Ron Wyden (D-OR). In House, Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL)
was joined by Rep. Mike Honda (D-CA), Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Raul Grijalva (D-AZ).

Czech Republic justifies expulsion
President Klaus - a slap in the face for Europe
The President of the Federation of the Expelled (Bund der Vertriebenen),
Erika Steinbach MdB, made the following decleration in response to a comment
made by President Vaclav Klaus to Mlada Fronta Dnes, in which he called the
expulsion of 3 million Sudeten Germans a "preventative step to avoid another
War" and "the punishment of the guilty":
World Refugee Day
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has designated June 20th, 2005 as International Refugee Day, a day to rerflect on the situtation of some twenty million human beings who today suffer homelessness as refugees or internally displaced persons, whose human rights are continuously violated and who remain exposed to grave dangers even to their survival.

The expansion of GWA/DWA into Poland, a country in which the German element has a long history of struggle for recognition, is a major success for the GWA/DWA and for Germans everywhere. National Day of Remembrance
in the United States
Congressman Michael Honda (CA) has introduced a House Resolution "H. Res. 56" to honor the efforts of organizations and individuals who recognize February 19th as a day of reflection of the treatment of Japanese, German and Italian Americans during World War II. Executive Order (E.O.) 9066 was signed on February 19, 1942, which allowed for the exclusion of individuals deemed 'alien enemy.'
