The German World Alliance was founded on 21st September 2002 and incorporated as a not for profit organisation on 11th March 2003 in Washington DC.
The goals of the German World Alliance include the guarding of human rights, fostering information sharing and communication, the preservation of German language and culture, and the promotion of good will between all people.

The Hermann Monument was placed on the National Register of Historic Plasces in 1973. The 106th Congress of the United States designated the Hermann Monument to be an official symbol for the contributions of Americans of German heritage in 2000.
The Hermann Monument is owned and operated by the city of New Ulm under the direction of the Park and Recreation Department.
The purpose of the Hermann Denkmal Society is to conserve, interpret, promote and develop the Herman Monument and Hermann Heights Park in the city of New Ulm, Minnesota, USA.
The Hermann Denkmal Society in New Ulm, Minn. is an organizational member of the German World Alliance. Their website is Here or listed on this page under Member Organisations.
There is a similar monument in Dettmolt, Germany. The statue is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Germany with over 130,000 visitors a year.

Who are we?
German World Alliance/Deutsche Welt-Allianz was founded on 21st September 2002 and incorporated as a not for profit organisation on 11th March 2003 in Washington DC.
The goals of the German World Alliance/Deutsche Welt-Allianz include the guarding of human rights, fostering information sharing and communication, the preservation of German language and culture, and the promotion of good will between all people.
German World Alliance/Deutsche Welt-Allianz is an umbrella organisation for groups advancing the above mentioned principles
German World Alliance/Deutsche Welt-Allianz has over one million members in thirteen countries on four continents.

The guarding of the human rights of persons of German cultural, linguistic and/or ethnic heritage throughout the world;
The fostering of information sharing and communication among Germans and their friends throughout the world;
The preservation of German language and culture and the appreciation of the impact of German culture;

We constantly succeed in attracting organizational, institutional and individual members from many nations:
We have produced statements for World Refugee Day, World Human Rights Day and the International Woman's Day:
We assisted the Vladmir German Family in Walla Walla, Washington in getting US asylum based on their German ethnicity:
We helped organize a Dresden Commemoration Service in Washington DC and issued a Dresden Commemorative Statement:
We continually hold successful Annual Meetings in Europe and America:
We co-operate closely with the German-American Internment group in support of the Wartime Treatment Studies Act, sending support letters to Senators Feingold and Grassley. GWA/DWA members continue to work in support of the Wartime Treatment Studies Act:
We protested the US government failure to send a representative to the Anniversary of General von Steuben's birth in Germany:
We have co-hosted several meetings in Washington, DC with the Steuben Society:
In late 2005 we successfully completed fundraising for re-publication of the Vardy-Tooley book Ethnic Cleansing in 20th Century Europe, together with the institute for German-American Relations (IGAR)
A GWA member has launched a petition calling for the final abolition of the racist and discriminatory Benes Decrees in the Czech Republic:
